Our signature program Chef in the Classroom originated in 2004 with the Spiritridge Elementary School Garden Project in Bellevue WA.

Now in our fifth year with Bellevue Schools, we are pleased to add Lake Hills Elementary, Odle Middle School and Sammamish High School as pilot project partners. Each of these schools has been instrumental in helping us develop enrichment programs that are effective and kid-tested! As part of our learning exchange program, these schools have given us priceless feedback and input.  

At Lake Hills Elementary over 32 first languages are spoken, yet food has been a common language among all students and staff. This year’s Harvest Celebration featured Butternut Squash Soup with produce provided by farmers from Waldron Island. 

Our garden beds installed in 2006 will be full again this spring as we look forward to another successful year!
