At Laurelhurst Elementary School in Seattle we are now in year four as well! In 2005 we started with two fifth grade classes. In the fall of 2008 our day-long Harvest Celebration was a major hit and Butternut Squash Soup ruled the day! Over 600 students participated in our lunchroom celebration and visits to 8 classrooms provided the foundation for an expanded spring program.

We are looking forward to our Spring Harvest Celebration and finding fun things to pick in the Edible School Garden. Laurelhurst innovation in sustainable practices is a real inspiration.

In 2009-10 we will be collaborating with Laurelhurst to expand our offerings and integrate our enrichment programs at all grade levels.
